Dr. Mauvais-Jarvis’ funded research program encompasses basic, translational and clinical research on the influence of sex chromosomes and sex hormones (estrogen, androgens, and progestogens) in diabetes and obesity, as well as the therapeutic effects of estrogens and androgens in metabolic disease in menopausal women and androgen-deficient men.
